I’m so excited to share my inspirational photos from the Charleston, SC wedding editorial I did last month at The Gadsden House. The 2-day shoot was part of the Niki Marie Photo Workshop and I was so blessed to be able to attend. As an Orlando wedding photographer, I can now see why Charleston is a top wedding destination!
I was blown away by the stunning planning and design from Michigan wedding planner Festoons and Flourishes, not to mention the gorgeous florals from Violet Rose Floral. The overall concept was to create a spectacular autumn wedding in Charleston with quintessential southern details, food, and decor. The main dining table was set up to be al fresco on the verandah overlooking the beautiful Gadsden brick courtyard. Ticker tape menu lockets created by Plume & Proper are definitely something to take note of if you’re looking for unique and different wedding details.
But nothing tops the cake (no pun intended LOL)! The floral pedestal by Violet Rose Floral was a true work of art! The fashion textile-inspired cake’s hundreds of gold bumblebees were handcrafted and each dusted in gold shimmer, all elegantly created by Bella e Dolce Cakes.
Ceremony details included a gorgeous floral arch on the ornate wrought iron gates in the courtyard that were overflowing with warmth. The Austria gown (shown first) was straight off the runway from NY Bridal Fashion Week. The second gown was literally the most beautiful gown I’ve ever seen with its long feather train. Both amazingly beautiful gowns were provided by Reem Acra.
We shot at the waterfront for engagement editorial photos using the city’s iconic “Pink Figgy” as locals refer to the pink convertible Figaro sportscar. Florals draped the entire back of the car to really make it even more stunning.
Driving away in style in Charleston, SC!!
