I couldn’t have ever imagined how epic Arlene and Paul’s Washington DC wedding would be, but let me not only tell you but show you! From their classic ceremony at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church to their reception at the Westfields Marriott Chantilly, VA, it was a classic and romantic wedding full of stunning moments.
The Westfields Marriott, located about 10 minutes away from Dulles Airport, may not be on your radar but it is a great option if you have a lot of out-of-town guests. For starters, the hotel offers a complimentary room for both the bride and groom.
I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at Arlene’s bridal suite to find just that! An actual spacious two-room suite with plenty of natural light that was just perfect for her getting-ready photos. The decor was also very tasteful and blended in nicely.
There was a range of emotions for Arlene’s mother moments before she put on her wedding dress. I will always love capturing these organic moments.
Meanwhile, Paul and his groomsmen were downstairs in the ballroom area. The floor-to-ceiling arched windows provided such a gorgeous backdrop not to mention the natural light. The piano was a nice touch.
I walked ahead of Arlene and her bridesmaids and flower girls in the hallway and turned around to grab this amazing shot of all of them dripping in sunlight.
After formal portraits with the wedding party and families at the church, we headed back to the Westfields Marriott to the reception. The halls and lobby areas and the upstairs chandelier at the hotel were gorgeous for their couple portraits.
The Cocktail Hour was held outside in the back courtyard which was so beautiful with the fall foliage as a backdrop.
Remember I mentioned that their DC wedding was epic? Well, I saved the best for last! The wedding party intros were a choreographed ensemble dance that had the ballroom rocking that then led into Arlene and Paul’s Dancing With the Stars worthy first dance.
Their flipino money dance was another epic moment from their amazing wedding.
