There are not too many truly hidden gems when it comes to Orlando wedding venues. To be honest, I think that phrase has been overused. To me, it means something that is not popular because not too many people know about it, but it should be. Celebration Gardens in Winter Park is that type of venue. I was looking for a small boutique type wedding venue in the Orlando area for a style shoot/real bridal session I was doing. Shannon Tarrant suggested Celebration Gardens immediately when I described what I was looking for. It was the perfect venue, small and intimate, but filled with plenty of nooks and crannies that make gorgeous backdrops for a garden wedding, and for my purposes, stunning for a bridal session.
Stacey is actually getting married on New Year’s Eve in Colorado in a small mountaintop ceremony that will only be attended by family. She will have a photographer for their wedding ceremony and couple portraits afterwards.
Her mother came with her and I was able to take pictures of her helping Stacey get ready. As we were chatting during the session, they told me that there wasn’t going to be anyone taking pictures of them getting ready on her real wedding day. It warms my heart knowing that I was able to capture their time together and that they will have these pictures for a lifetime. And just because it may have been a dress rehearsal of sorts, it was not without emotion. There’s something about seeing your daughter put her wedding dress on that does it. And Stacey teared up thinking about how she will soon be marrying her best friend. So sweet!
Stacey’s gown from Nicole Maree Bridal is simply stunning with jeweled spaghetti straps and waistband, a lace appliqued bodice, and pearl buttons down the back. And since the weather in Colorado will be strikingly cooler than here in Orlando, she found a luscious fur wrap from bridal faux fur designer Sissily Designs on Etsy.
To reflect her winter wedding, we wanted a bouquet using cool winter blues and soft creamy pastels and Debra Robertson at Atmospheres Floral did an amazing job with the color scheme I gave her.
It really did seem like the wedding day once we finished and I’m hoping to be able to shoot a real wedding at Celebrations Gardens next year because it is one of the best Orlando wedding venues in the heart of Winter Park.
