About

I first fell in love with photography when I first saw the famous photojournalism portrait of The Migrant Mother by Dorothea Lange. Maybe you know what that is or maybe not, but what you need to know is that I fell in love with portraits that are real and tell a story. And I have made that my goal from my very first click of the shutter on my first Pentax camera.

I worked as a Staff Newspaper Photographer for The Sarasota Herald-Tribune, The Miami Herald and The Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel before starting a family. I am a mother of three children and know what it’s like to juggle it all. I transitioned myself from film to digital photography five years ago, using the highest industry standard Nikon technology in my D800 camera body and Nikkor lenses, professional editing and finishing software in Adobe Photoshop CS5.

I have become highly skilled at recreating the same photojournalism style in digital form and my images are suitable for wall galleries and albums. When you choose to hire me to be your family photographer, you are doing so because you love the kind of images that reflect real life as you know it. You treasure the images of your family that inspire and touch your heart because they trigger those memories of the stages of development of your kids, from their birth, first birthday, high school graduation and even all the way to their wedding day.
Once you have your photo session, you will have these memories preserved in time. You will have images of how your child used to smile and giggle when he was three and how you used to snuggle and tickle in bed on Saturday mornings. Or the times when your daughter made you breakfast on your birthday, cuddled up to you with a good book or how you embraced her as she was getting dressed on her wedding day. During your sessions, I will capture all these moments for you. These are the images that your children will also treasure because they will see how they were loved by you. Whether posed or candid, I will capture the real you.
